In short

Tajah helps universities build e-learning capability in three layers that work together.

The first is management capability, with an e-learning plan, policies, and design and quality standards the university approves, as in projects for Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal, Qassim, Princess Nourah and Al-Baha universities. The second is content, with e-learning courses produced on a unified instructional design model the university approves before production, running on its own learning management system, as in the University of Jeddah programme of 144 courses. The third is the technical system, with a platform that is run, maintained and integrated with student-affairs systems, and production studios and labs on campus, as in eight years of operating Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University's systems. In every layer the methodology passes to the university's team, so the capability stays after the contract ends. Work can start with one college or programme, then expand.

Starting with one unit

Work starts with one college or programme, then extends to the rest of the university.

Questions asked before contracting

Can the work run on the university's current learning management system?

Yes. Courses are built on the existing system, as at the University of Jeddah, or a Moodle platform runs with Tajah's add-ons.

How are National eLearning Center standards handled?

The platform, its add-ons and the courses are reviewed against NELC standards according to each university's scope and accreditation requirements.

Does the work include training faculty?

Yes. Capability building is part of every project, through training in instructional design and the platform, and the documented methodology handed over.

Human capability development through educational technologies.

Once the need is described, one of Tajah's experts comes back with a first outline of scope and success indicators.
